Sainik School Kunjpara, Karnal, Haryana


Sainik school Kunjpura was established by the Sainik Schools Society, New Delhi in 1961 and founded by (late) Shri V.K. Krishna Menon, the then Defence Minister of India, on 24th July, 1961. Situated west of Kunjpura village in Karnal district of Haryana, the school stands on a 275 acres (1.11 km2) campus and is situated 10 km northeast of Karnal city and 130 km north of Delhi. The primary aim of the school is to prepare boys academically, mentally and physically for entry into the National Defence Academy. It enables boys from economically weaker sections of the society to take up an illustrious officer career in the Armed Forces of the nation. At present the school has 622 cadets studying in classes VI to XII. The school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi and is a member of the Indian Public Schools Conference (IPSC).

Sainik School, Rewari, Haryana


Sainik School Rewari was inaugurated by Shree AK Antony, Hon’ble Raksha Mantri on 29th August, 2008. The school is located at village Gothra, District Rewari, 15 km from south-west of Rewari town on Rewari-Narnaul Road. Sainik School Kapurthala was inaugurated 8th July, 1961 by the then Defence Minister V.K.Krishna Menon. The objective of the school is to prepare boys academically, physically and mentally to join NDA and has produced more than 1150 officers for the Indian armed forces through National Defence Academy. The school campus is situated in Kapurthala, Punjab state, in Jagatjit palace which was formerly the palace of the Maharajah of princely state of Kapurthala, HRH Maharajah Jagatjit Singh Bahadur. Jagatjit palace was completed in 1908. The school has a simple motto, “Knowledge, Humility and Discipline". Boys are supposed to get in the school for Class VI and Class IX. For Class VI, the candidate should be more than ten years and less than eleven years of age on First of July of the year of admission. For Class IX, the candidate should be more than thirteen years and less than fourteen years of age on the first of July of the year of admission. The school allows boys only school but daughters of the staff of the school can be admitted.
